Cherry Blossom Card

I have come to Nailsea near Bristol to visit my daughter. Spent some time with my parents today, as they have just moved here. It was lovely as I haven’t seen them in over a year and a half because we don’t drive and obviously we haven’t been able to go on public transport.

A very simple card for you today as I didn’t want to distract from the image, and also I like cards that I can use if I want to send a simple note to someone. I use cards like this if I have to write a note to a teacher, or to put in a parcel.

Forever Blossoms Stamp Set – Annual Catalogue 2021/2022 page 73

Card Base – Flirty Flamingo Cardstock 8 1/4″ x 5 7/8″ scored and folded @ 4 1/8″
1st layer – Basic White Cardstock 4 1/2″ x 2 1/2″

Inside Layer – Basic White Cardstock 5 5/8″ x 3 7/8″

The image on the front of the card was stamped in Memento Black Ink and coloured with our Stampin’ Blends. For a large image like this, I like to use my Stamparatus.

The front panel was secured using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The dies that coordinate with this Stamp set are great too. It really is one of my favourite sets for images.

Until next time, happy crafting

I was so excited when I first saw the Gilded Leafing in the mini catalogue. Make sure to keep the windows closed and no fans on when you use it though, otherwise you will decorate your whole room 😆

Fancy Phrases Multi-purple layered Card

This is the card I made for Mother’s Day for my Mother-in-law, but could equally be used for a birthday, anniversary or just because. I love the corners which were made with the Detailed Trio punch, which I don’t remember to use nearly enough despite having to buy a second one because I lost mine and missed it so much.

Fancy Phrases Stamp Set – Annual Catalogue 2020/2021 page 126

Base Card – Gorgeous Grape Cardstock 8 1/4″ x 5 7/8″ scored and folded @ 4 1/8″
1st layer – Highland Heather Cardstock 5 3/4″ x 4″
2nd layer – Very Vanilla Cardstock 5 5/8″ x 3 7/8″

The image and the rhinestones were coloured with our brilliant Stampin’ Blends. I love that we can use the blends to colour our ribbons and embellishments so they match the cardstock and inks that we are using.

There is a very vintage feel to this stamp set and would be great for those of you who like to make shabby chic cards.

Dragonfly Garden Card

This card as you will see from the inside is actually a Mother’s Day card, but I couldn’t post it until Mum had received it 😀 I bought this bundle especially to make a card for Mum, but this is part of a bigger Suite called the Dandy Garden Suite which includes the Garden wishes bundle together with Designer Series paper and lots of other things.

Dandy Garden Suite- January – June 2021 Mini catalogue pages 24-27

Card Base – Pretty Peacock Cardstock 8 1/4″ x 5 7/8″ scored and folded 4 1/8″
1st layer – Forever Greenery Designer Series Paper 5 5/8″ x 3 7/8″
2nd Layer – Basic White Cardstock 5 1/2″x 3 1/2″
Inside layer – Basic White cardstock 5 5/8″ x 3 7/8″

The Dragonflies were stamped in the chosen colour and then the ink was spread over the wings using Wink of Stella.

The flowers were coloured using Stampin’ Blends.

The photo doesn’t really show how beautiful the ribbon really is. It is two-tone Pretty Peacock and Old Olive and I really love it. I wish I had got some before. This will definitely be going in my hair soon 😀 What products do you love? What do you use your Stampin’ Up products for that isn’t necessarily what they were intended for?

Until next time, happy crafting
