Pansy Petals Card

This is one of those bundles you really have to have a good play with to get the most out of it. I would also suggest checking out YouTube if you are struggling with it, as there are several good videos on there showing you how to use all the different elements.

Pansy Petals Suite – Annual Catalogue 2021/2022 pages 28 and 29

Card Base – Bermuda Bay Cardstock 8 1/4″ x 5 7/8″ scored and folded @ 4 1/8″
1st layer – Mint Macaron Cardstock 5 5/8″ x 3 7/8″
2nd Layer – Basic White Cardstock 5 1/2″ x 3 3/4″
Scraps of Bermuda Bay, Mint Macaron, Coastal Cabana, Pool Party and Soft Saffron Cardstock for the pansies
Scraps of Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen Cardstock for the leaves.

Inside layer – Basic White cardstock 5 5/8″ x 3 7/8″

Die cut out the elements as shown in the picture. For the overlay pieces I would recommend using adhesive sheets as it is very messy using liquid glue.

For the inside of the card I used the smaller pansy stamps.

Don’t forget it is also a great time to join and you could pick a bundle from the mini catalogue for free. Check out my shop for more details.

End of Year Teacher Gifts – Post-it Note Holder and Pen Set

It has been a weird week. Being in self-isolation has meant we have all been at home together all week and everybody is keeping their own timetable. Getting up at 4am and nipping to the loo or getting a drink you could bump into anyone. It has become almost normal that people are cooking in the middle of the night 😆 All our tests have come back negative and our 10 days are up tomorrow. Now will begin the fun task of trying to encourage everyone to get back to a normal routine 😀

Today’s project is the gift that I made for the teacher’s. It’s a post-it note holder and pen set. I sell quite a few of these at school fairs.

Pansy Petals Suite – Annual Catalogue 2021/2022 pages 28/29

Post-it Note Holder Base – Bumblebee Cardstock 7 1/4″ x 3 1/4″ scored @ 3 1/2″, 3 7/8″ and 4 1/4″
Pansy Petals Designer Series Paper (DSP) – 3 1/8″ x 2 7/8″
Scrap of Basic White cardstock for the pansy.

Fold and burnish the score lines. Fold the score lines together and cut the slits for the pen to go in.

Attatch the square of DSP to front of the post-it note holder.

Glue the last scored section to the back panel leaving the slits for the pen.

Glue in the Post-it note and put the pen in the slots.

Finish off by adding the pansy and gems.

On Tuesday, I will bring you the measurements for the bag and tag.

Don’t forget, you only have a few more days to take advantage of the Designer Series Paper sale. Check it out in my shop.

Until next time, happy crafting

Triple Pansy Birthday Card

I loved this set when I first saw it, but when I got it I was a little overwhelmed by the multi-layer stamping. I tend to overthink things 😆 . I went onto YouTube and watched a few videos of others using the set and it really helped to reignite my enthusiasm and I’m loving it again. So if you ever get stuck YouTube and Pinterest can be your best friends.

Pansy Petals Suite – Annual Catalogue 2021/2022 page 28-29

Base Card – Flirty Flamingo Cardstock 8 1/4″ x 5 7/8″ scored and folded on the long side @ 4 1/8″
1st Layer – Calypso Coral Cardstock 5 3/4″ x 4″
2nd Layer – Very Vanilla Cardstock 5 5/8″ x 3 7/8″
Flirty Flamingo Sentiment label 1 3/4″ x 7/8″
Very Vanilla Sentiment label 1 5/8″ x 3/4″
Inside layer- 5 5/8″ x 3 7/8″

Don’t forget that this is a photopolymer mat, so you will need to use your Stampin’ Pierce mat.

For the Pansy there were four stamps.

I started by stamping the Small detailed pansy in Flirty Flamingo.
I moved on to the small filled-in pansy and stamped off once to get a lighter Flirty Flamingo colour.
The three part centre of the flower was stamped in Calypso coral and finally the little triangle centre was in Daffodil Delight.

The leaves were stamped in Soft Succulent. The detail leaf first using full-colour and then the main leaf image over the top after having stamped off to get a softer colour.

This is a great suite and I will be bringing you more projects using the dies and wonderful Designer Series Paper soon 😃

Talking of Designer Series Paper. The wonderful Designer Series paper sale starts today. Head to my shop to check it out.

Life is getting a bit busier again. I am still not back doing card classes or at Rainbows and the toddler group I am starting isn’t happening until September, but I will be accompanying the older people on the mini bus once a month and both of my choirs are back up and doing live-streams, but I will try and find the time to get onto YouTube and do a video on how to use this set. If I manage it, I will share the link with you here.

Until next time, happy crafting
