Christmas in July – Robin Card

Anyone else finding it too hot? I am really struggling with my focus and keep doing silly things 😆

This is another of the new bundles coming in the new July-December Mini catalogue. The stamp set comes with a border punch which I need to practice with, but is very pretty.

Happy Holly-days Bundle – July-September Mini Catalogue 2021 page 27

Card base – Mossy Meadow Cardstock 8 1/4″ x 5 7/8″ scored and folded @ 4 1/8″
1st layer – Painted Christmas Designer Series Paper 5 5/8″ x 2 1/2″
Sentiment – Mossy Meadow Cardstock 3 1/4″ x 1″
Scrap of Basic White Cardstock for the Robin

Inside layer – Basic White Cardstock 5 5/8″ x 3 7/8″

I coloured the robin using Stampin’ Blends. I did try the lovely watercolour pencils, but I am not very good with them and decided my 6-year old granddaughter would probably have done a better job 😆 Need a bit more practice.

I fussy cut the robin.

The sentiment was heat embossed in gold.

I will be keeping the little cut-outs from the punch for a future projects.

Until next time, happy crafting

Weekly Challenge 3 – One Sheet Wonder

Been a strange few days. My daughter developed a cough, but getting a test was easier said than done, it took us four attempts 😆. The whole family had to self-isolate, but thankfully her test came back negative. To be honest as much as I love my family, I am glad that they can all go back to school, college and training. Three autistic adult family members and a teenage boy at home with 3 PlayStations, an Xbox, a laptop, an iPad and various phones going at once, the Wi-Fi struggles and costs a fortune in electricity, not to mention the noise, which even the sound sensitive ones among them don’t seem to notice. Wrong sort of sound 😆

The challenge this week is a one sheet wonder. I have decided to turn mine into cards.

I liked this set as soon as I saw it. It is fun and is great for colouring. I haven’t used it as much as I would like, but as my family is now in self-isolation until my daughter’s test results come back, I will have time to play.
