Cherry Blossom Card

I have come to Nailsea near Bristol to visit my daughter. Spent some time with my parents today, as they have just moved here. It was lovely as I haven’t seen them in over a year and a half because we don’t drive and obviously we haven’t been able to go on public transport.

A very simple card for you today as I didn’t want to distract from the image, and also I like cards that I can use if I want to send a simple note to someone. I use cards like this if I have to write a note to a teacher, or to put in a parcel.

Forever Blossoms Stamp Set – Annual Catalogue 2021/2022 page 73

Card Base – Flirty Flamingo Cardstock 8 1/4″ x 5 7/8″ scored and folded @ 4 1/8″
1st layer – Basic White Cardstock 4 1/2″ x 2 1/2″

Inside Layer – Basic White Cardstock 5 5/8″ x 3 7/8″

The image on the front of the card was stamped in Memento Black Ink and coloured with our Stampin’ Blends. For a large image like this, I like to use my Stamparatus.

The front panel was secured using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The dies that coordinate with this Stamp set are great too. It really is one of my favourite sets for images.

Until next time, happy crafting

Always and Forever Heart Card

Sorry that there was no post on Thursday. There was a slight glitch and as I had no idea what day I was on due to the bank holiday I missed it.

The sentiment and flower buds from this Card comes from the Forever Blossoms set, which I am very pleased to say is carrying over into the new catalogue. I just love the spray of flowers in that set. Unfortunately, the Stitched Be Mine dies will be retiring, but our Heart Punch Pack which contains two heart punches will be carrying over.

Forever Blossoms – Annual Catalogue 2020/2021 page 68

Card Base – Cherry Cobbler 8 1/4″ x 5 7/8″
1st layer – Very Vanilla 5 5/8″ x 3 7/8″

Inside layer – Very Vanilla 5 5/8″ x 3 7/8″

Cut the heart out of the front of the Very Vanilla layer with the smaller of the two stitched heart dies.

Affix the layer to the front of the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals or foam adhesive strips to give it some dimension.

Use the heart cut-out and a sponge dauber to make the heart shape on the front of the envelope.

I am getting so impatient about wanting to play with my new pre-order goodies. Unfortunately everything is taking a bit longer due to Covid and Brexit. They should be here by the middle of next week, so I may be able to share so sneek peeks with you next weekend 😀

Until next time, happy crafting
