Curvy Jar of Flowers

This card has a lovely image which gave me a chance to do some colouring using colours that complimented the paper that I used both on the outside and inside of this card. The floral stamp set will be carrying over to the new catalogue, but the sentiment is from the Quite Curvy set which will be retiring.

Jar of Flowers – Annual Catalogue 2020/2021 page 12

Card Base – Poppy Parade Cardstock 8 1/4″ x 5 7/8″
Layer 1 – Flowers for Every Season Designer Paper 5 5/8″ x 3 7/8″
Layer 2 – Basic White 5 3/8″ x 3 5/8″

Inside Layer 1 – Basic White 5 5/8″ x 3 7/8″
Inside Layer 2 – Flowers for Every Season Designer Paper 5 5/8″ x 1/2″

The image on the 1st layer is coloured using Stampin’ Blends.

Stamp the flowers on the first layer at the bottom of the cardstock in the centre, then stamp the sentiment.

The papers in this project used last years in-colours as well as Poppy Parade which is the base for this card. So excited that I have now received this year’s new in-colours which I will be sharing with you on Saturday.

Until next time, happy crafting

Butterfly Birthday

Butterfly Birthday

How are you all doing in these strange days? Things are starting to open up now, but there is still a lot of uncertainty. Sorry I haven’t been around, I had a bit of a mental health blip, but my lovely family have rallied round and encouraged me and I am doing a lot better now. I am very lucky; although I live in a house with three autistic family members and a pre-teen who don’t always realise when I cannot cope or what to do about it, my eldest daughter, who may be over 200 miles away,  can still tell if things are not going well with me and will get people to check in with me.

At the weekend I took part in an online retreat with the Pinkies, Michelle Last’s team and I had a lovely time crafting alongside other like-minded people. Although we weren’t together in person, we were able to chat in a zoom room as we worked on our projects and it was so lovely. I will try and share some of the brilliant projects that we made over the next few days.

Today’s project is a little brighter than I would normally do, to reflect the bright and cheerful colours of the Designer Series Paper.

Jar of Flowers Shaker Card

pootlers blog hop

jar of flowers

Today is the Pootlers’ new Annual Catalogue Blog Hop, so please go around and visit everyone and see the great projects they have made with products from the new catalogue.

I was a little nervous about trying this bundle out, but I was pleasantly surprised. It was very easy to use. It has a punch, to make the jar shape and you can buy the shaker domes which you just peel and stick. Definitely recommended if you have always wanted to try a shaker card, but are a bit nervous about it.
