His Love

When my youngest two children were small we went to a big family church, but when my depression got really bad I stopped going. Just before the first lockdown I had started to feel better and went along to a nearer church which is much smaller as I wasn’t ready to go back to such a big church. I had only been there two months and had just joined the choir went lockdown started. However, during the lockdown the small church has kept in touch with me and I am in a different season of my life, the children rarely come to Church, so I have decided that the new church with older people is probably more me now. This card is to thank my old church for their love and support in the years that I was with them.

He is not here, for he has risen – Easter Cards

This being the Easter weekend, I decided I would share my Easter cards for the lovely people at my Church with you. For this project I used two stamp sets. His Love which has the beautiful cross, is from the annual catalogue and unfortunately is retiring when the catalogue ends in May. The other set is Gift of Hope from the January-June 2021 Mini Catalogue and has the great verse from Matthew 28:6, He is not here for he has risen.

Gift of Hope – January-June Mini Catalogue page

Card Base 8 1/4″ x 5 7/8″ scored and folded on the long edge at 4 1/8″

1st layer – Basic White Cardstock 5 5/8″ x 3 7/8″

Inside layer – Basic White Cardstock 5 5/8″ x 3 7/8″

Cross – Basic White Cardstock 3 1/2″ x 2 1/2″

cross was stamped with Versamark, covered in Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder and set with a heat tool.

I then fussy cut the cross.

The rhinestones were coloured with Stampin’ Blends and left to dry.

I found that the Seaside Spray and Purple Posy Blends were a bit light for my liking, so used Night of Navy and Highland Heather instead.

On the front of the cardstock you need to make sure that you have the He Lives! and flowers stamped low enough that the cross will fit on card front.

If you do not own the Purple Posy inkpad as it was discontinued, you can replace it with Highland Heather

I am so sad that these 2019-2021 in-colours will be retiring in May, but we have some great new colours coming for the 2021-2023 In-colours.

Don’t forget stocks of retiring products are whilst stock last, so don’t miss out. You can visit my shop to see what is retiring soon.

Until next time, happy Easter, happy crafting
