I am part of Sam Hammond Donald’s (www.pootles.co.uk) Pootlers team at the second level and as such I get to take part in activities and events with them.
When a new catalogue comes out, we separate into groups of about six and send a swap card using something from the new catalogue to all the ladies in our group. We don’t tend to send Halloween cards in the UK, but I loved this set so much I just had to use it. See below for the lovely cards I received in exchange and the talented crafters links 🙂
Halloween swap Card – Toil & Trouble Suite pg 49 Autumn/Winter catalogue
Base Card – Calypso Coral 8 ¼” x 5 7/8” scored and folded at 4 1/8”
1st Layer – Toil & Trouble DSP 5 5/8” x 3 7/8″
2nd Layer – Whisper White 5 ¼” x 3 5/8”
Inside layer – Whisper White 5 5/8” x 3 7/8″
Pieces of scrap Whisper White
Whisper White Envelope
Cauldron Bubble Bundle
Calypso Coral Ink pad
Memento Black Ink Pad
Wink of Stella
On our 5 1/4″ Whisper White card we make a water coloured background using the Aqua painter and Calypso coral ink. Then set that aside to dry.
We will now do our stamping.
On our inside layer right in the centre we will stamp our sentiment ‘Happy Halloween’ and in the bottom right-hand corner we stamp the cat.
On the front of our envelope stamp the witch and on the back flap stamp the cat.
On the water coloured background, stamp the Bubble Bubble sentiment in the top right-hand corner.
On our scrap whisper white we will stamp our witch, a cauldron and a cat and colour them with your Stampin’ blends. then cut them out using the matching Dies.
Now we can assemble our card.
Affix the inside layer.
Now on the front we will layer our Toil and Trouble DSP and then our water coloured background. Using Stampin’ Dimensionals affix your witch, cauldron and cat. Give them a coat of wink of Stella and then finish the card off with the metallic pearls.
